    Attend our training and learn how social connections strengthen communities and get tips on hosting BBQs that promote belonging, support, and safety.


  • Step 2: Plan Your BBQ
    We provide a BBQ kit with everything you need: a grill, supplies, the main dish, invitations, and event planning support—making it easy to bring neighbors together.


  • Step 3: Invite Your Neighbors
    We know inviting neighbors can feel intimidating, but you’re not alone! We’ll be there to guide you and even walk alongside you if needed.


  • Step 4: Be the Host
    Bring people together, help neighbors get to know each other, and create a welcoming space for connection and community.

  • Who can attend a neighborhood BBQ?
    Everyone is welcome! Families, neighbors, and friends, no matter your age or how long you’ve lived on the block.


  • What if I don’t have a yard or grill?
    No problem! We provide BBQ kits for hosts, including a grill, supplies, and food, so anyone can host a gathering.


  • I’m nervous about inviting neighbors, what if no one comes?
    That’s normal! We provide support, guidance, and even can walk with you if needed. The focus is on connection, not perfection.


  • How long does a neighborhood BBQ usually last?
    Most BBQs are 1–3 hours, depending on what works best for your block and your neighbors.


  • Is there a cost to host or attend?
    No! Resilient DNATL provides support and supplies so everyone can participate without financial barriers.
